As an illustration of The First Coast YMCA’s dedication to our military community, the nonprofit is excited to host Operation Salute, a Military Appreciation Day Back-to-School Bash.
This annual event will take place across seven YMCA branches on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be local vendors, fun activities and backpacks full of supplies for the new school year. All locations will have day-of/on-site registration available. Backpacks will be supplied to all advanced registered attendees and available to day-of registrants while supplies last.
The First Coast YMCA is inviting all active-duty military members, veterans and their families for a fun-filled day focused on health and well-being.
At multiple YMCA locations, there will be local vendors, fun activities and backpacks full of supplies for the new school year. Families are encouraged to sign-up ahead of time to ensure every child receives a backpack. Parents can do so by texting YMCAMILITARY23 to 41444.
As an Armed Services YMCA, The First Coast YMCA has dedicated programs and services for military members, veterans, and their families. By partnering with its official Military Outreach Partner VyStar Credit Union, the two organizations are continually improving the quality of life for military families throughout Northeast Florida.
We invite all actively serving military members, veterans and their families to visit one of the listed locations to meet local vendors, participate in fun activities and pick up a backpack full of supplies for the new school year!
