JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Alert Weather Team says it’s going to be a warm weekend.

Here’s what you can expect:
- Temperatures this morning are mild in the low 60s, with areas of fog that will persist until shortly after sunrise.
- It will be a relatively warm day, with highs in the middle to upper 70s and mostly cloudy skies.
- Aside from isolated showers in southeast Georgia this morning, it will be a dry Saturday.
- A strong cold front will be approaching the region from the west, bringing a high chance of rain with some thunderstorms to our area Sunday.
- Rain and storms will move across our area from west to east during the middle of the day, likely impacting the Jags game.
- A few storms could be strong to severe, with the greatest severe threat residing across inland southeast Georgia.
- The upcoming work week is dry with gradually cooling weather into next weekend.
- The long-range forecast (into mid-January) could be our coolest stretch of weather this season
