One person is dead after a single-engine airplane crashed in the Hilliard area, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP says the plane went down in a wooded area of Hilliard at Trinity Lane. We’re told that the pilot was the only one on board at the time of the crash.
The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and the FAA are also assisting with the crash investigation, per FHP.
The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
