FDOT says the Overland Bridge Project still has minor remaining work on local streets such as painting walls and beams, working on powering the overhead digital signs, and completing final striping for pavement marking.
The nearly six-year-old project consists of new bridge structures with designated lanes to help traffic maneuver in and out of Downtown Jacksonville a little easier.
The $164 million-dollar project is approximately 2.2 miles long stretching from I-95 south of the Fuller Warren Bridge to south of Emerson Street.
