Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to the apartment complex in the 5500 block of Firestone Road directly across the street from Westside at about 7:45 a.m. Officers arrived to find a man between the ages of 30 to 35 inside one of the apartments shot to death, JSO said.

Witness told investigators they heard gunshots and saw several people running from the apartment complex. Several of those who were running were detained by Duval County School Police, JSO said.
