Early voting underway in Duval County General Election

Voting in person May 1 - May 14 at several locations in Duval County. Election Day is May 16.

Jacksonville, Fl — Two weeks of early voting in the Duval County General Election is underway today.

Voters will be deciding who will become Jacksonville’s next mayor between democrat Donna Deegan and Republican Daniel Davis.

Other county-wide races will decide are the Duval County Property Appraiser between Joyce Morgan and Jason Fischer and the Group 5 At-Large City Council seat between Charles Garrison and Chris Miller.

VOTER GUIDE: Early voting locations, candidate spotlight

There are six other city council seats to be decided. Anyone registered to vote in the State of Florida and living in Duval County may vote at any early voting site during early voting.

Early voting times at the Supervisor of Elections Main Office will be 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday and 10 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. All other early voting locations will be open 10 am - 6 pm all days.

A poll released on April 17th by the University of North Florida Public Opinion Research Lab showed Donna Deegan leading Daniel Davis by one percentage point.

Registered Duval County voters who are likely to vote in the May 16 election were asked their vote choices from April 10 - 11. Deegan has 48% support and Davis has 47% support. 5% of likely voters were undecided.

The margin of error on this poll is +/- 3.8%.
