Duval School leaders reschedule high school football games following deadly triple shooting

Jacksonville, FL — School leaders in Duval County are acting after 16-year-old shot and killed a 19-year-old man and injured two students after a high school football game between Raines and Lee High School.

Superintendent Diana Greene announced that games expected to draw big crowds will either take place Thursday early Thursday evening or Saturday mornings.

The changes are as follows:

Saturday, September 1st 2018, 10:00 AM. 

Raines and First Coast

Lee and Westside High

Thursday, September 6th 2018, 5:30 PM.

Raines and Ed White

Saturday, September 22nd 2018, 10:00 AM. 

First Coast and Ribault

WOKV has reached out to Duval County Public Schools to get a full list of changes for the remainder of the football season.
