Jacksonville, FL — A number of safety measures will be in place as the Duval County Tax Collector's Office begins to reopen on Wednesday.
Duval County Tax Collector Jim Overton says the office will be implementing the same step-by-step approach we've seen at the state level and for the City of Jacksonville. As part of this approach, only the Hogan branch will be reopening for now and it will be by appointment only. If you arrive early, you'll be asked to wait in your car until your appointment time. You can make an appointment online at duvaltaxcollect.net or calling (904) 255-5700.
Additionally, all customers and staff will be required to wear face masks. Customers without a mask will not be allowed inside.
We're told that a cleaning person will be on site all day to help clean and sanitize high traffic areas.
At this time, the Duval County Tax Collector's Office will not be offering driving tests or concealed weapons permits.
While the other tax collector’s office branches remain closed to in-person services for now, the other branches will be handling calls.
