JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Christopher Bernier has scheduled a series of town hall meetings to meet with families to discuss the future of the district.
“These events are an opportunity to hear about the current state of the district and its future,” a post on the district’s Facebook page states. “Dr. Bernier will also facilitate a discussion to gather your input on what’s working well and areas for improvement.”

The meetings, which are open to the public, will start Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Twin Lakes Academy Middle School, 8050 Point Meadows Dr, Jacksonville.
Future meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- Dec. 17: Alfred I. duPont Middle School, 2710 Dupont Ave, Jacksonville.
- Jan. 14: Kernan Middle School, 2271 Kernan Blvd S, Jacksonville.
- Jan. 16: Highlands Middle School , 10913 Pine Estates Road E, Jacksonville
- Jan. 21: Chaffee Trail Middle School, 11770 Sam Caruso Way, Jacksonville.
- Jan. 23: Arlington Middle School, 8141 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville.
