Duval County Public Schools launches pedestrian, bicycle safety campaign

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Duval County Public Schools is launching a new campaign focusing on pedestrian and bicycle safety. It’s called “Be Safe. Be Seen.”

The school district is partnering with multiple community partners to make the streets safer for children.

According to DCPS, at least 13 students have been hit by cars in Duval since Aug. 2024. Three of those incidents were deadly.

The campaign will run from Jan. 21 to Jan. 31.
