CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A deputy a part of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has died in the line of duty.

According to a tweet from Congressman Greg Steube, multiple officer-involved shootings were reported Sunday night, including the officer-involved shooting that occurred at the Sunseeker Resort.
Senator Rick Scott weighed in as well with the following tweet.
Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating, more details to come.
