ORIGINAL STORY:

According to sources, Action News Jax has learned that an emergency meeting is expected to be called by the Duval County School Board tomorrow in response to ongoing investigations at Douglas Anderson High School and concerns regarding the future of Superintendent Dr. Diana Greene’s position within the school district.

The school’s former long-time vocal department chair, Jeffrey Clayton, was arrested in March on felony charges of an authority figure soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Since his arrest, three more teachers have been reassigned for unknown reasons.

Multiple concerns have been expressed regarding the school’s broader institutional problems and the district’s tools for informing the state education department about teacher misconduct.

Our team at Action News Jax is actively seeking further information and will provide updates as soon as they become available.

The school board is expected to hold the emergency meeting at 11:00 a.m.

A regularly scheduled meeting is scheduled to be held tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.
