Jacksonville, FL — CSX says several of the train cars that derailed in an overnight incident have now been cleared, but it could take a couple of days to fully restore the area.
Eight cars came off the tracks near Main Street, north of Busch Drive, according to CSX. The company says four of the derailed cars, which were carrying consumer and food-grade products, have been safely removed. Of the remaining four cars, CSX says two were empty and two contain ethanol. The two containing ethanol fell in to a creek.

CSX will finish draining one of the tanks of ethanol, before they cease operations Monday night because of the dark and the tide. They will resume operations Tuesday morning with the second tank.
CSX says there are no signs the ethanol leaked in to the water.
Nobody was injured in the derailment, and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
Southbound lanes of Main Street are being re-routed on to the northbound side. One lane of northbound traffic is still northbound, but the second lane has been switched to southbound. CSX initially hoped to have the road re-opened by Tuesday morning, but the closure is not expected to be in effect through Tuesday as well.
Cleanup of the full site could last several days.
