Critical blood shortage in the Jacksonville community: Donate now and save lives

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a bid to combat the current critical shortage of blood supply, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and Jacksonville Public Library have joined forces to make blood donation more convenient than ever. With the blood supply running dangerously low, the community is in urgent need of donations to save lives.

LifeSouth, a nonprofit organization responsible for supplying blood to 80% of the local hospital beds in the community, including all Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma centers, is spearheading the campaign.

By donating blood, individuals can play a vital role in providing the lifeline needed by patients in hospitals across the area.

As a token of appreciation for their generosity, donors will receive a $20 e-gift card, a t-shirt, and the immeasurable satisfaction of knowing that they have made a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
