FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cool start to Christmas week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Temperatures this morning are chilly but range widely from the upper 30s in inland southeast Georgia to near 60 degrees along the coast of St. Johns County.

  • Today will be cool with gusty northeast winds continuing. Highs will stay largely in the upper 50s with a few spots south of Jax in the low 60s.
  • Showers will approach the coast of NE Florida later this morning than move up the coastline through the day into Georgia this afternoon. Rain amounts will be low and rain won’t extend far inland.
  • We turn mostly sunny and pleasant for Christmas Eve, with an increase in clouds but still nice and dry for Christmas Day.
