Jacksonville, FL — An active criminal investigation is underway, as the Clay County Sheriff's Office says it's looking into an allegation of sexual misconduct between detention deputies and inmates.
At this time, the sheriff's office isn't saying how many deputies may be involved or even when this allegation surfaced.
The sheriff's office is only saying the involved deputies have been re-assigned to other duties, where there will be NO contact with inmates, until the investigation is complete.
