Jacksonville, FL — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrested Beau Yarbrough for two counts of marijuana possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Per the arrest report, Yarbrough was traveling on State Road 16 when deputies noticed he made an illegal pass, over a double yellow lined section. Once deputies approached the truck, they could smell a strong pot odor.
The arrest report says Yarbrough told deputies the smell was probably left over from smoking at a friend’s house earlier in the night.
Deputies say they asked to search the vehicle and Yarbrough replied “go ahead you won’t find anything”. The arrest report tells us that deputies found two mason jars of a “green leafy substance” that later tested positive for marijuana.
In all, 56.2 grams of weed, a plastic pipe, and a metal grinder were recovered by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
We checked jail records and Yarbrough has bonded out. He was also issued a written warning for the improper pass.
