Clay County to host ‘Adopt-a-Spot’, ‘Adopt-a-mile’ programs

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — For those looking to be involved and make positive changes in their community in Clay County, the Adopt-a-Mile and Adopt-a-Spot programs may be a fit for you.

The program is a part of the Keep Clay Beautiful program (through the Clay County Community & Social Services Department), an affiliate of both Keep America Beautiful as well as Keep Florida Beautiful.

Residents have the option to either join a group or create their own. Teams will be assigned to roadsides, boat ramps, parks, or trails. Teams will receive a sign representing their team at their adopted spot.

Clay County highlighted the following areas that are available in the program:

  • CR218
  • CR225
  • CR315
  • CR214
  • CR352
  • CR220 (Henly to Middleburg HS)
  • CR226
  • Old Jennings Rd
  • Long Bay Rd
