Name: Charles Fetzer II
Family: Single
Occupation: Electrician Apprentice at IBEW Local 177
Political/Government experience: Just a political nerd.
Years lived in Jacksonville: 26. My whole life except college.
Campaign website: www.VoteFetzer.com
Why did you decide to run for office: I had been thinking about it for years and then the violence and possible corruption in my district was just too much.
What is the biggest problem facing Jacksonville as a city overall, and how specifically would seek to address that: Violence and crime. Prevention is the only cure. Setting our children up with mentorship programs, safe afterschool and summer programs that teach valuable life skills, job training programs for good paying jobs to provide hope for a happy healthy long life.
What makes your constituents unique, and how would that influence your time in office: My constituents are some of the most neglected and ignored in the city. They need somebody who will listen and take action.
What would be your main budget priority for the upcoming fiscal year: The most expensive goal of mine is infrastructure expansion of JEA water and sewer but I have many small, and cost effective plans that will be easy to get done and make a big difference in everyday life.
How do you define what you hope Jacksonville will be ten years from now: I hope we are no longer known as the murder capital and known for something positive.
