NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A soccer game will be held Friday in Callahan to honor Deputy Joshua Moyers.

The fallen Nassau County Sheriff’s deputy was shot during a traffic stop in Callahan last month and later died of his injuries two days later.

The sheriff’s office arrested his accused killer, Patrick McDowell, following a five-day manhunt. He’s facing premeditated first-degree murder and aggravated battery on a police dog.

Law enforcement, K-9 officers, as well as the community, is invited to share their love and support for Moyers and the sheriff’s office for keeping their small town safe.
