Jacksonville, FL — You’re feeling a dramatic weather change after Monday’s record breaking heat. We soared to 86 degrees around lunch-time, breaking a record for the day.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says a cold front moved through late in the afternoon, leading to a big temperature drop over a short period of time.
Combined with the wind and cloud cover, it's going to feel quite brisk especially along the beaches.
Temperatures are 5-15 degrees cooler this morning and will stay much cooler than yesterday into the afternoon. I'm tracking winds picking up for us today and showers hour by hour in the #firstalertwx forecast on CBS47/FOX30 @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/3kulKxK6DL

The front that moved through our area yesterday has stalled south of us. Winds are picking up out of the NE and will bring us some mainly coastal showers later today. I'm tracking on CBS47/FOX30 @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/hKboE4ysXJ
