One critical injury in Jacksonville house fire

Jacksonville, Fl — A house fire in Jacksonville’s Magnolia Gardens community left two people hospitalized, one with critical injuries.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue rushed to the home on Breve Drive just after 4 am.

“Our crews found that two people were walking out as they were coming in so one person was left unaccounted for. They immediately went in for a search of the house looking to find the victim. They found the victim pulled them out. They’re in critical condition”, said Eric Prosswimmer, JFRD Public Information Officer.

Family members tell Action News Jax Meghan Moriarty that two, 85-year-old women were at home at the time of the fire. Two family members were being treated at UF Health in Gainesville.

Three people were home at the time, and the state fire marshal was requested to lead an investigation.
