Jacksonville, Fl — An early morning crash on wet roads involved a Clay County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle. The crash happened on Beach Boulevard near St. Johns Bluff in Jacksonville.
JSO and JFRD was on scene within minutes. According to JFRD, one person was extricated from a vehicle and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
According to JSO, the deputy’s injuries are not life-threatening. He was alert and conscious when transported to the hospital. It appears the deputy’s vehicle was struck by a dump truck in the driver’s side door.
