JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — A U.S. Navy tradition will return to the coastline of Jacksonville Beach in October.

Originally, it was thought that the Blue Angels would not return to town for the 2025 Sea and Sky Air Show.

But the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, known for their precision flying and dynamic aerial maneuvers, will be at the show on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26, the City of Jacksonville announced Tuesday.

“The Sea & Sky Air Show will bring families, neighbors, and visitors together to experience an unforgettable display of skill and teamwork,” Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan said in a statement. “We are grateful to the Blue Angels for their service, for their role as ambassadors of goodwill, and for bringing the thrill and magic of naval flight back to our proud military community.”

Instead of returning to Jacksonville Beach, the Blue Angels opted to go to Punta Gorda for the Florida International Airshow on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2. That event is still on the Blue Angels’ schedule.

Originally, the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26, the Blue Angels were scheduled to go to the 2025 Chennault International Airshow in Lake Charles, La. That event has now been canceled, according to the organizers’ website.

So a Beaches tradition since 2001 will indeed be back again.

“I want to thank the City of Jacksonville for working so hard with us to bring the Sea & Sky Show – along with the Blue Angels – back to Jacksonville Beach,” Jacksonville Beach Mayor Chris Hoffman said in a statement. “This is a big day for all of us. We can’t wait to show off our community, celebrate the military, and enjoy the show next year.”

The city said further details, including the complete list of activities, parking options, shuttle services, and road closures, will be announced as the event approaches.
