An injured dolphin is heading to SeaWorld to be treated for injuries that may have been caused by a propeller.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office says they assisted biologists and a vet earlier today, after the dolphin was discovered where it apparently beached itself. We’re told the dolphin was evaluated, and then moved to a small inflatable pool. It will be treated at SeaWorld.
Investigators say the injuries appear to have been made from a propeller.
Luckily, the dolphin’s prognosis is good.
