Baker County investigators arrest 12 suspects after narcotics investigation; 7 still wanted

A dozen people have been arrested on drug charges and seven others have warrants for their arrest after a narcotics investigation in Baker County, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Operation 2019 Summer Round Up involved narcotics detectives conducting investigations into the sale, purchase and possession of illicit drugs in the county.

The Sheriff's Office says they started apprehending the suspects involved, and through July 15 had arrested 12 of them. Deputies say they have warrants for seven others.

"As I have previously stated, the Baker County Sheriff's Office is committed to keeping our citizens safe," says Sheriff Scotty Rhoden. "We are continuing to investigate and will arrest all those who are selling drugs in Baker County. Our community deserves the best and my narcotics detectives will continue to get the job done."

The 12 people arrested include Ty Canaday, Kayla Burnsed, Steven Thomas, Tina Hance, Ashton "Chuck" Amerson, James L. Davis, Shelby Greene, Darryl "Wayne" Manning, Tammy Peterson, Frank Hunter, Joseph Green and Ray Lauramore Jr.

Deputies say they are still looking for Keith Barrett, Cassiti Bennett, Stephen Chessman, Timothy Johnston, Henry Williams, Octavius Thompson and Reginald McCray.
