Baker Correctional Work Camp escapee’s girlfriend arrested for misleading investigators

The girlfriend of a man who escaped the Baker Correctional Institution Work Camp Tuesday has now been arrested.

The Florida Department of Corrections says Victoria Ice has been charged with introduction of contraband, perjury, and principal in the first degree to an escape. The probable cause affidavit for her arrest says Ice gave investigators multiple different accounts of an incident, which ultimately misled them in the apprehension of Kizziah. Further statements Ice made have been redacted from the report, and there are no additional details immediately available about the nature of the charges she faces.

The report says Kizziah is Ice’s boyfriend.

Ice has now been booked in to the Baker County Jail. FDC says the arrest is in cooperation with the Baker County Sheriff’s Office and State Attorney’s Office for the 8th Judicial Circuit.

WOKV told you Tuesday about Kizziah's escape. FDC says he fled while doing yard work at the facility. Kizziah was tracked through multiple counties in the area, including Bradford, where he allegedly stole a truck. He was eventually spotted in Clay County and crashed in Middleburg. He's expected to face charges out of multiple jurisdictions.

Kizziah was serving a ten-year sentence for robbery charges out of Duval. He was set to be released in 2020.

WOKV is working to learn more about the nature of the charges facing Ice. FDC says they are not commenting any further, because of the ongoing criminal investigation.
