JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ascension St. Vincent’s will now allow more visitors inside their hospital due to a reduction of COVID-19 cases.
Two visitors will be allowed to visit a patient in inpatient rooms, ERs, ORs and other procedural areas. Three visitors will be allowed for pediatric patients.
In order to continue to keep staff and visitors safe, masks will be required, screening of COVID-19 will happen before visitors enter the hospital, and social distancing will be implemented.
If the number of cases begins to rise again, they will reassess the policy and make changes as needed.
Back in July, Ascension St. Vicent’s reverted back to stricter COVID-19 visitation policy. At the time, they only allowed one visitor per patient, with exceptions.
