Springfield armed sexual battery suspect sought by JSO

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for any information you have about the man in this composite sketch, who’s accused of an armed sexual battery.

The incident happened in the early morning hours of February 18th, along W. 8th Street in the Springfield area. JSO says the suspect approached a woman who was outside charging her cell phone, as the power was turned off at her home.

The victim told police the suspect grabbed her phone and put it into his pocket, then grabbed her by the shirt, pulled a box cutter and threatened to kill her if she didn’t go with him.

The suspect is described as a black man with a mustache. He was wearing a light yellow polo-style shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. This composite was made based on the victim’s description of the suspect’s appearance.
