JSO: 1 woman dead, multiple in custody after Arlington shooting

Jacksonville, FL — A woman is dead following a shooting on University Boulevard in the Arlington area over the weekend.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says around 5:40 pm Saturday, officers arrived at the 1800 block of University Boulevard North, just west of Terry Parker High School, when they found a vehicle that was struck by a bullet.

At the same time, officers received information about a 32-year-old black woman who was taken to a nearby hospital by someone involved in the incident. The woman later died from her injuries.

At this time, police believe everyone involved in the shooting has been detained.
