Action News is still working to learn where these messages were being projected from.

Mayor Lenny Curry Posted his statement Sunday morning condemning these “cowardly” actions.

Some state leaders are giving statements on these hateful signs. Congressman John Rutherford said, “The kind of anti-Semitic hate speech being circulated online purportedly from the Florida-Georgia game is despicable and extremely disappointing. There is absolutely no room for this sort of hate in Northeast Florida. I continue to stand in support of the Jewish community in Jacksonville and across this nation.”

Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried stated, ““The first step is to ensure we do not normalize this behavior. Do not normalize antisemitic messages above a freeway.. or anywhere else. Remain outraged.. but harness that outrage for good. Vote next month, and stay engaged in the process.”

The Duval Democrats also released a statement that stated, “In the last 24 hours, Jacksonville has been attacked by a coordinated campaign of anti-semitic hate. These displays have no place in our community and are vile. I call on all our elected and community leaders to condemn these hateful displays of antisemitism and support our Jewish community. Silence breathes acceptance — this is not Duval.”

Representative Debbie Wasserman Shultz said, “I am disgusted at the antisemitism and racism that continues to rear its ugly head here in my home state of Florida. The recent spike in high-profile and public antisemitism, both in Northeast Florida and now with repeated cases in my own hometown of Weston, is a deeply alarming and heartbreaking trend. This hatred must be called out forcefully. It is incumbent on all of Florida’s leaders to unequivocally condemn this dangerous rhetoric. Only when we unite to vocally condemn the perpetrators of these hateful acts, can all Americans truly love, learn and worship freely and without fear.”
