Jacksonville, FL — There will be an active shooter training exercise taking place at FSCJ Downtown Campus on Monday, March 12. The drill will begin at 9 a.m. at the Advanced Technology Center located at 401 W. State Street.
School officials say the drill will help prepare for a host of unplanned incidents in addition to the routine training that takes place surrounding natural disasters.
They say to prepare for extra security on campus, but students and other personnel should have no problems accessing classes and offices. They are advising the public to avoid the campus during the exercise.
