Girl, 16, dies after crash with passenger bus in Columbia County, Florida Highway Patrol says

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old girl from Fort White died Friday morning after a crash with a passenger bus on State Road 47.

The girl was traveling eastbound in a sedan on County Road 238 when she was approaching the intersection of State Road 47.

According to the FHP report, the girl failed to yield, causing an angular crash with the passenger bus.

The passenger bus had 16 people at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported from the passengers of the bus.

The girl was pronounced dead on the scene.

This case is currently an ongoing investigation.
