JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The city of Jacksonville and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation say Monday’s parade honoring the late civil rights leader is postponed due to cold weather.
A spokesperson for the city says the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution for public safety.”
The foundation says the parade will be rescheduled to Saturday, February 1. The foundation added that the location of the parade will be announced at a later date.
