LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — A woman’s body was found on top of a train in northern Alabama on Saturday, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found in Limestone County, Coroner Mike West told WAFF-TV.
West said the body was found on the top of the train on Harris Station Road, but it was unclear how she ended up there, according to WAAY-TV. The body of the woman, whose age was not released, will go to a forensics lab to determine the cause of death, the television station reported.
According to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, the area of Harris Station Road between Laughmiller Road and Highway 31 has reopened after being shut down due to “a death investigation.”
