Jacksonville, FL — Two robbery-shootings that took place just miles apart are under investigation in Jacksonville.
Both happened Friday night, although JSO hasn’t yet said at this point if they believe the crimes are connected.
Around 8:30PM, JSO was notified about a shooting on Barnes Road. The victim in this shooting was dropped off at a hospital by one or more unknown persons, who quickly left in an unknown vehicle. The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
JSO says the victim told them he had been robbed of his wallet, before being shot by a black man.
At 9:19PM, JSO responded to an ER where a person had showed up with gunshot injuries, but was in stable condition. They determined that victim had been shot at the Countryside Trailer Park on Beach Blvd.
JSO says witnesses and the victim in this case said two black men approached the victim and demanded money. The suspects shot the victim and fled on foot. They’re described as 5’8”-5’10”, early 20s, and were wearing all black clothing.
Both shootings are under investigation at this time. We will update as more information is available.
