Jacksonville, FL — A Baldwin Middle-High School student may face criminal charges, after school officials find two guns in that student’s vehicle Monday.
An automated phone message to parents says school administration saw a loaded gun “in plain sight” in the vehicle. Administrators and Duval School Police confiscated the gun and searched the vehicle and found another loaded gun, this time in the trunk.
DCPS says the student was detained and could face criminal charges, disciplinary action by the District, and possible expulsion. Bringing a weapon to school is a violation of the Code of Conduct.
Nobody was hurt during this incident. DCPS is urging you to closely monitor what your child brings to school.
