Jacksonville, FL — A commercial vehicle fire on Interstate-295 just before Normandy Boulevard shut down all northbound lanes for hours Tuesday morning, and caused major backups during the morning commute.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says the truck that caught on fire was carrying wood pallets, and told drivers to expect heavier delays in the area.
At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol has not released any information on the driver’s condition and the cause of the fire.
