Ground is being broken on a new skilled nursing center to benefit healthcare students, and the Arlington Community, on Thursday.
Dolphin Pointe Landing is a partnership between JU and Nelson Holdings, which will be managed by Clear Choice Health Care. The facility will be located adjacent to the North Campus, near the St. Johns River.
The facility is described as “Jacksonville’s premier all private suite facility” by the developers. Dolphin Pointe will have 120 fully private rooms, designed with a resort style.

JU distributed this statement on the new facility:
“Dolphin Pointe, a private-suite skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, will cater to the active aging population through Jacksonville's premier Savannah-inspired healthcare community. Located on the St. Johns River next to JU, it will link students and older individuals through continuing education. Greg Nelson is spearheading the project in collaboration with partners Denise Nelson, Sean Nelson, Jeff Cleveland and Geoff Fraser. They have contracted with Clear Choice Health Care as the management company to oversee the operation.”
