Jacksonville, FL — The first day of early voting in Duval County saw more than 9,800 ballots cast. Overall turnout is 5.41% when mail-in ballots are added to the first day of early voting.
Duval County has 20 early voting sites in operation through November 4th.
Early voting begins in St. Johns County on Wednesday. Early voting begins in Baker County on Thursday. Early voting begins in Clay County and Nassau County on Friday.
Early voting will also be available for the first time on several college campuses. The administration of Gov. Rick Scott contended that campus buildings could not be used for early voting, but that decision was challenged in federal court.
