Clay Electric says their service area will be “substantially” restored by the end of the weekend.
The Cooperative has announced their restoration effort will be substantially complete by the night of Saturday, September 16th for Columbia, Flagler, Lake, Levy, and Union counties. For Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Marion, Putnam, and Volusia counties, power restoration will be substantially done by Sunday night, September 17th.
Clay Electric says this applies for member accounts who are ready to receive power. If your home was flooded or damaged, it could take longer.
More than 1,100 workers from 11 states are currently in the field for Clay Electric.
If you don’t have power by Sunday night, Clay Electric wants you to call their outage reporting line at 888-434-9844.
Earlier today, Clay Electric called on customers living in areas of Middleburg that flooded to turn off their home’s main breaker. They say you should get a full inspection from a qualified electrician and conduct any needed repairs before reconnecting, to avoid a potentially dangerous situation.
