A body discovered in a Fleming Island retention pond near CR 220.
The grisly discovery was made on Wednesday, April 28, and little information has surfaced in the days since. On Friday, the Clay Could Sheriff’s Office confirmed the person found was a man but are still working to identify who he is.

ACTIVE INVESTIGATION - There is an active investigation and a heavy law enforcement presence at a retention pond near the Walmart on County Road 220. A body was found in the pond. We will release more information as the investigation allows. Please be patient if in the area.
