Jacksonville, FL — Two shrimp boats have sunk following an early morning fire in Mayport.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue reports the boats were docked at the time of the fire along Ocean Street near Safe Harbor Seafood Market and Restaurant. Thick smoke could be seen as far away as the Wonderwood Bridge around 4:15 am.
No one was transported from the scene, according to JFRD. The sunken boats are IRIS MARIE and TRITON II, which was based in St. Augustine.
