The coast guard says the Sun Cruise Casino ship number nine that departed from Port Canaveral was supposed to be here for repairs yesterday evening at about 6 o'clock.

The vessel was able to contact the Coast Guard by marine radio and let them know that they are OK, but that they ran out of gas and are dead in the water five miles east of St. Augustine.

"We are going to work with either the Coast Guard station, or one of our cutters or something...see what's available to try and get these people some gas and hopefully get them in and out of the rough seas off of St. Augustine," says Chief Petty Officer Donnie Brzuska with the U.S. Coast Guard.

There are currently five people on board the ship.
