Officials say 28-year-old Damien Dennis was in the lunch room when some sort of argument became violent.

An officer who stepped in was seriously hurt, and was also taken to the hospital. He's been treated and released, but has not been identified.

Dennis is now facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer. A 19-year-old man is dead after he lost control of his truck last night on I-95 in South Jacksonville.

Police say Selix Gomez, of St. Augustine, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control, crossed the median and slammed into a tree.

His passenger, 24-year-old Efrain Carranza, suffered only minor injures.
