FBI Investigating Mosque Pipe-Bombing as Possible Domestic Terrorism

FBI Agents re-emphasizing the seriousness of a possible hate crime at a Jacksonville mosque.

The FBI is looking at this case as a possible hate crime, and now they're analyzing it as a possible act of domestic terrorism.

"It was a dangerous device, and had anybody been around it they could have been seriously injured or killed," says Special Agent James Casey. "We want to sort of emphasize the seriousness of the thing and not let people believe that this was just a match and a little bit of gasoline that was spread around."

Casey says surveillance video from the Islamic Center shows the arsonist carrying gasoline and the pipe bomb. When the explosive went off, parts of it were found 100 feet away on 9A.

Despite receiving few phone calls from the public, investigators are following up on leads. Call CrimeStoppers with any information.

Its hard to face it but after all what the media puts inside the head of people it was just a matter of time. The news much more then over here in germany.
I have seen alot of Anti Muslim behaviors. Im just waiting for those to kill muslims on the street and burn them down “because daughters and sons are getting killed in a war and different contry” This is all so middle-aged NONSENSE.
What if any child... maybe a white christian child would be there because he ran after a ball next to the building while the bomb exploded? Would that change the point of view? Some of you people are so DAMN crazy: IT SHOULD BE A WARNING SHOT FOR THE MEDIA not for Muslims in a different country where there is no media cause its war! If anyone went himself into the war and get killed SORRY but they don’t have to! But being in a free and modern society and reading aaalll of this NONSENSE makes me sick! After 9-11 people were shouting at me while I was a little child. YOU ALL MAKE OUR LIFES SO MUCH HARDER FOR EVERYONE because of NONESENSE! DON’T YOU GET IT? Im just waiting for being put into jail because I have black hair and I am muslim! Those soldiers are also my brothers and sisters in war. Cause also Muslims can be American or German!!!! THANKS!

Jim, I am flabbergasted at your statement. I can't understand how you could write such a thing.

"No one was killed or hurt, and no serious property damage has been reported," so it's okay?!

I don't remember any Muslim country or people from those countries ever asked us to defend their freedom.Even we define our presence in Iraq as occupation,for example.
Bring our boys home. We need them to defend our freedom from growing fascist movement in this country.
This pipe bombing was despicable act of terrorism. People who did this are the same kind of idiots,morons,criminals as those who created car bomb in New York.

Consistency?
It was William Shakespeare who stated, "Consistency, thou art a jewel." I am wondering why so much emphasis is placed on this issue? When American churches were burned (arson) in Jacksonville over the past years, we heard a news report and that was about it. No FBI, no further mention of the event. Now a mosque is targeted and one would think the nation should come to a halt while we do everything within our power to apprehend those responsible. It is a serious crime to be sure. But let's be consistent!

Pipe Bomb Video
Yup. He is a white male, probably a tea party member. Probably salutes the US flag too. That's him! That's him! I would like to see if there is a video of anyone else walking around the building, or trying the door. Of course, if it showed anyone other than a middle aged white male (Said to be at the root of racism and domestic terrorism by the Obama administration), the video probably would never have made to this web site. Remember, the Times Square bomber was a middle aged white man, probably a Tea Party member, or someone who didn't like government health care... Right Bloomburg? That's who was on the video they televised nationaly, right?

Mosque bombing
Just a thought, what if the "hate crime bomber" had a son or daughter killed while defending freedom in a MUSLIM country? Would that make a difference? No one was killed or hurt, and no serious property damage has been reported, perhaps it was a warning shot? I am no supporter of terrorisim in any way or fashion, but freedom of speech stifled by political correctness needs a voice, does it not?
