58 year-old Norman Aubin is a Vietnam Vet.  He tells our news partner Channel 4 he grabbed his 40-caliber handgun when he saw a 19 year-old burglar jump his neighbors fence and kick in the door.

"Got my gun pointed straight toward him, I said drop it, he slammed the door".

Aubin went around front and shot at the teen but missed.  The suspect was arrested but Aubin says he doesn't feel like a hero.

"Just protecting neighbors, and I hope the neighbors do the same for me".

Cops tell Channel 4 they don't want shootouts in the street but Aubin's actions appear to be legal.
