Nelson Pleads Not Guilty to Conspiracy Charges
Almost two weeks after being handcuffed in front of a judge on federal charges, a former JaxPort Chairman pleads not guilty in court Monday.

Tony Nelson faces more than 40 counts on bribery, mail fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy charges, plus an additional charge for lying to the FBI.
U.S. Attorney Brian Albritton claims Nelson demanded more than $100,000 from a company having contracts with JaxPort in exchange for his influence on the board.
It may be another six-to-eight months before Nelson goes to court. If found guilty, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars and pay millions in fines.
