Counterfeit Ticket Sales "Big Problem" for Gator Bowl
FSU Head Coach Bobby Bowden is surprised to hear tickets sold out so fast, but Gator Bowl Association President Rick Catlett is not.

"This man transcends football," says Catlett. "I compared him the other day to Muhammad Ali. You say 'Bobby Bowden' to someone who knows nothing about football, and they'll know exactly who you're talking about."
In fact, he's sure they'll surpass the record attendance at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. But high demand to view Bowden's last game is also creating the opportunity for fraudulent behavior.
"Counterfeit tickets are going to be a very big problem for this game, and I would caution the public to be very careful buying tickets from non-verifiable sources."
Catlett says Ticketmaster or tickets.com are reputable sources for any available Gator Bowl tickets. The game is scheduled for January 1, 2010 between the Florida State Seminoles and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Catlett added that current laws do not stop scalpers, and he's seen some tickets sell for hundreds of dollars.
