Cheating Scandal Hits GA School Employees
The former principal and two teachers at Burroughs Molette Elementary as well as the former superintendant of the district are accused of changing answers on the 5th grade tests to increase the school's grade.
School Board member Jim Weidhass said that both of the teachers are out of the class room.
"You have to have a acting teaching certificate to be able to teach and their certificate, as of right now, is under the recommendation to be suspended," Weidhass said.
The Georgia professional standards commission recommended that the teachers lose their teaching certificates. The teachers have been reassigned out of the classroom. The administrators had already resigned by the time the scandal broke.
The four people involved have thirty days to file an appeal, but this case could go on for up to three years.
